I’m going to be 100% honest here. I have never seen or tried it before. Thus, it would be real hard to offer any viable info on it. Maybe someone on here has tried and can offer their thoughts.
Now if you want info on DE razors, I can write you a book and will be glad to do it my friend.

Hey @Grillinois I’m not the expert that @SGH is; however, I have been a straight razor guy for the last 5-6 yrs.   I’ve tried a few of these kind of shevettes and have found that they are not for me.   They do not mimick the feel or comfort of a traditional straight razor.   The only one I use for travel is a feather artist club.

It’s just a different style of a shavette. I use a shavette myself, just not familiar with that particular one. Never used one with an angled head either. Hey, but the angled head may turn out to be the next big thing. You just never know.
    Here is my shavette:

Which straight do you like? I’m a vintage Clauss man myself.

  • They are works of art. And they look even more dangerous with a pivot point.

@SGH I use a Dovo 5/8 hollow grind.   Some times I’ll use a Ralf Aust 5/8 as well.

Before making the switch over I used an EJ 85L safety razor or some other verriation of that.   I’ve had a few in my time.
