OT...Kitchenaid mixer, 6000 HD vs 600 Professional

Found a used 6000 HD in excellent condition for $175.
Anyone have any experience with the 6000 HD?
Im familiar with the 600 Pro. I know it has an AC motor and 575 watts.
The 6000 uses a DC motor with only 350 watts with claims of the DC motor dishing out more actual power.
Thanks

Curious myself , I have the pro600 never an issue with years of abuse...at 175 sounds like a bargain, I gleaned through the 1 star reviews and they where the same BS whiney reviews with no real Merritt ...IE ." the dough sticks to the tool" is user error

DC motors offer better torque (which seems important in a mixer) so the wattage comparison is not really an apt comparison.I have no idea if the other mechanical internals are any better but for that price I'd buy it.

That’s a steal! Aren’t the DC motor KA’s 1.3hp?

Reading through the Q and A it’s the same gearbox as the 1.3 HP commercial model and this HP is 1, really sounds like a great mixercaliking said:That’s a steal! Aren’t the DC motor KA’s 1.3hp?Visalia, Ca @lkapigian -
Thanks for the push. I just picked it up.
sounded good running at the store. Way quieter than my 600 Pro.
I will test run the 6000 tomorrow and see how it does. It has all 3 mixing attachments and they all seem to fit tight to the bottom of bowl. Read some complaints about that.
also came with KA meat grinder attachment.

I stumbled upon this some time ago. My KA was considerably off, and this adjustment made a significant difference.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -
Gave it a little clean and its ready to go.
The grinder attachment must be an older model at it has the wooden stomper and it seems like the larger of the 2 grinding discs have larger holes than the one I bought, used and self destructed 5-6 years ago.

Cant find anything tough to mix so it's chocolate cake tonight

For those of you who have the 600 Pro, 6000 HD or 6500 HD...KA makes a 3 quart bowl and whip set. Only works on lift bowl models.
Perfect for smaller jobs on your big mixer.
