This chicken was a Jerk :)

Picked up this rub from Jimmie's Jerk Chicken at eggtoberfest. Turned out great, next time might go a little easier on the rub it really packs a punch!

    Looks good! No rice & peas though? =)

    Love jerk, either chicken or pork. Never used a dry rub though, just Walkerswood, Grace (both of which are pastes) or a homebrew concoction which is more of a marinade. All good, but still working on the homebrew.

    I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

  • Looks really good. Here’s a wet marinade that reminds me of my time in Jamaica;

    And I agree with @Carolina Q, rice and peas are awesome!

    Never understood the "peas" part. Peas is Jamaican for beans I guess. Seems that they use kidney beans (and coconut milk and other stuff). Google for pics and recipe if you're interested. Delicious! Mon.

    Correct.  Its not always kidney beans tho.  Ive had my fair share of gungo (pigeon) rice and peas as well.  Its pretty good but I like the kidney beans version.  I had Gungo rice and peas mostly around Christmas time.

    Outstanding! I would put a serious dent in that by myself.
