Will This Work as a Heat Deflector?

I'm using KJ's Divide and Conquer setup in my large BGE. Rather than using the split stones I thought the large foil drip pan would work as a heat diverter for about a three to four hour cook of a 13# turkey. Appreciate any thoughts you guys might have. See photo for a better idea of what I'm attempting to do.

sure but I would throw some water or sand in there to give it some muscle. It will scorch the drippings unless you have something in between that and the bottom of that pan. Water will work and you can reduce that to get to the good stuff at the end of the cook if you are planning on saving the drippings.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

not enough unless as previously stated, you add sand or a layer of rocks, bricks, etc....
