  • @thetrim-i agree, just stirring the pot.  there are a lot of trivial topics on here that we debate for kicks & never change anyone's opinion.  sports teams, direct vs indirect, politics, ford/chevy/dodge and the rest.  this is one of the best sites on the web for sharing & receiving knowledge about a topic/hobby. we have some legendary bad asses on here & I'm glad get to give my two cents once in a while.

The help one gets on this forum is second to none.

I mean I tried every diet before I came here and was never able to loose the weight I lost (in my wallet) being on this forum.

There are so many things I didn't even know I needed, and all of you eggers helped put them into my vision and to my wifes dislike my backyard, so I can finally say that I know lost enough weight in my wallet its like im back to my college weight.

Ive asked questions with multiple responses in minutes that has helped saved many cooks, and got great advice on future cooks.

Plus the Friday night entertainment is second to non.

    Thank You ALL

I’ve yet to receive a discouraging word from anyone when cooking is involved. To the contrary, Egghead membership has been consistently supportive and encouraging. The few times I’ve waded into devisive issues like politics I received a couple less that supportive comments, but I respect everyone’s opinions, even when they are demonstrably wrong  :)

I've thought about my reply to this post for days, I don't know where to start. I have had given to me rubs, sauces, flags, sausages , homemade/handmade items, and plenty of recipes, advice and even professional medical services. But most of all I would have to say the friendship from all forum members is cherished most of all. I have met people from all walks of life all because of a charcoal grill. We have Surgeons, Chemist, College Professors, Engineers, Nurses, Computer Experts, Auto Dealership owners, etc and if I have a question all I do is give someone a call.
I'm not going to thank each and everyone individual because that would take way too long but I am going to say thanks to each one.
And yes Eggheads are very very generous!

See ya'll at Brisket Camp in a few days and at Butt Blast in April
Me and Cindy wish we could do more than a "like" to your post.  YOU @piney were the very first eggers we had ever met along with @Jupiter Jim (who was severly hung over)  =)  Sandy was the epicenter of southern hospitality !   I will never forget Duck with a D dog.  We had no idea what to expect at BB 3 but you made us feel at home among friends.  Next year we will be cooking and hopefully adding to the event.

Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

Need to acknowledge @gmac and his home-made cleaver offer from last year.  I was fortunate enough to win the random draw, thus the significance of #38 in my sig line.
I need to do another one sometime.... maybe a Christmas draw???

Just wanted to add that the XL I got at Hiawassee this year was the one used by this group of wonderful folks - picture taken by @northGAcock.  Missing from picture is Jeremiah and JRWhitee.  I wanted an XL and decided to get one at the GA Mtn fest in Hiawassee and mentioned this to @bgebrent .  Next thing I know, @Jupiter Jim and Brent make it happen that I got the one they used to prepare their offerings.  And they didn't stop there. Brent and Jim decided to get everyone to autograph a BGE Cutting Board that Brent provided.  I've got it hanging above my XL (after covering in polyurethane) and it always reminds me of a really special group of fellow eggers.

    Now that's pretty cool !!
