What about ash on the sides?Aledo, Texas

I like the idea but I wonder how much it would change around temps"The pig is an amazing animal. You feed a pig an apple and it makes bacon. Let's see Michael Phelps do that" - Jim Gaffigan

I have a Joe with this and eggs with the KAB where I just used gloves to remove the ash.I think the new kick ash bucket is the best solution (don’t have one yet to confirm) but it seems like it collects even more and is really easy to use

Nearly identical to want comes in a KJ, but make sure you clean it out every time or all the overflow will fall down in there once you pull it out. If it's too full, it can also block the air flow. You're giving up more than half of your ash pan area with this device, which isn't a big deal if you clean it out every time.
For me, the kick ash can is better. All the ash falls down into the can, and it's just one piece. It's like a properly sized trash bag in a trash can......just a liner basically.

Seems like a colossal waste of money to me. It takes 2 minutes (maybe) to clean the ash out and this makes it easier?

Seems like a waste to me as well. I pull my KAB and grab my small piece of ceramic tile scrap and clay flower pot. Scrape the ash up with the piece of tile, put in flower pot, dump in trash. Takes longer to remove AR and KAB.
