Hey all, FNG checking in. Been lurking around the forums for several months and finally decided to create an account. Bought an XL back in January and a Blackstone back in June. Since then I have found that I’m using both more and more, with my old Weber Performer gathering dust. I am now starting to look for advice and tips/tricks to take my smoking game to the next level since I don’t know anyone locally who uses this type of smoker/grill. Located in Nor Cal and looking forward to all the great convos and cooks to come.

Welcome to wallet genocide. The least expensive aspect in ownership of the BGE is the initial purchase. Buying the Blackstone is a clear indication of what will follow; Spending more on the lifestyle. I made a brief calculation, on the money I have spent in association with my BGEs and I am up to about $90,000.00. I shid you not.
It has been worth it, too.
Great bunch of folks in the forum, many are fantastic chefs with a tremendous amount of experience, knowledge and an amazingly amount of resourcefulness to help you though.
Have a blast, say goodbye to retirement, and enjoy the journey. Glad to have you."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber
