I have a few ideas on my next steps but need to make a run to the store tomorrow to grab the supplies. 

 Not sure what others do with their BGE Chiminea’s but I plan on using mine frequently, for both warmth, grilling, and just to use because they are cool. that being said I plan on restoring this as best I can.

Sorry you e wasted so much time and effort  cleaning it, just hit it with some oven cleaner. Boom. Done.

Update: Found a method after some trial and error that got the paint off without damaging the egg. It’s back to its original color!

Made some new handles and used the wife’s vinyl machine to add the BGE logo. Then painted and cleared the handles and front cover.

Thanks. Sometimes it’s a gift, sometimes the wife says it’s a curse. Lol

No worries at all all.....the rehab was done outside then everything was brought inside when I was finished for the day, minus anything that reaked of lacquer thinner.
