OT -- Dehydrator for Jerky?? -- OT

Making and eating alot of jerky these days and I've been thinking about purchasing a dehydrator to make my life easier. A buddy says he's got an excalibur, but would upgrade to a Cabella's model with digital. Lots on sale at Cabellas, but the reviews of most units look pretty mixed -- lots of issues with not getting to temp, noise, durability . . . .
I'd appreciate any thoughts or recommendations folks would kindly share.

It's a 302 thing . . .

I have the Nesco american harvest style from amazon. I have 12 trays for it, works great. I have done a LOT of jerky, a good amount of fruit, peppers, that kind of thing. No issues with it at all.

@HendersonTRKing I have the Cabela's 80 Liter and No Issues. As far as getting to temp, I think they all run a little lower than setpoint especially when you just load it up. With the Digital Readout, people are just aware of it, its really a non issue . I thought would be overkill, but I find myself using it far more than I thought. From Jerky to Smoked then Dehydrated peppers.....uses are endless. Its heavy and not easily moved , so it has a permanent place in the kitchen
