  Seriously guys, thanks for the "encouragement", but having owned a semi-sporty motorcycle, no car can ever match that experience.  It's fun to dream about these sexy cars, but my practical/Depression-era-Dad sense keeps getting in the way (thank goodness the Kelley Blue Book website doesn't have a "Buy Now with One-Click" button!)
This morning I put the top down on Ms. Saab, drove into work smiling the whole time.  The reupholstery I did 4 years ago is starting to rip, the convertible top is too, and the clutch is feeling "not right".  She only has a KBB trade-in value of $830, so I'll continue to drive her until I can't get a part anymore.
But it IS fun to look at replacements, and as I mentioned before, won't test-drive anything yet.  Not yet.

Yesterday I drove down to Wood's Cross and looked at the Lexus IS350c, and it was an "F Sport" model, too! (didn't mention that in the ad).  2015 with less than 9,000 miles on it; I wrote an email to the dealer via KBB and asked, "In a nutshell, can you tell me why it has such low miles?"  Got an email back, "Hi, I'm Doofus, and I've been assigned to you; what questions do you have?"  Not off to a shining start here....
Sitting next to it was a 2016 Jaguar F-Type, "R" version (supercharged V-8) with equally low miles.  More expensive, but I can swing it, and that machine is the most beautiful thing on 4 wheels.   But damn, 15 mpg probably, and new tires every other month...

F Type is a great looking car, if you took the Jag badge off people will think you're driving a Ferrari.

@Botch you don't have to get the super gooey performance tires.  My tires last me 25k, they are ultra performance summer.  I try to take it easy on tires until they are almost worn out, then I go nuts.  Remember you don't go faster when they are spinning...
One step down on the tyres can also improve ride / road noise as the side walls aren't as stiff.

My TPMS system flashes LOW TYRE PRESSURE! in the dash when a tire is below 20psi

I keep my display on all 4 tyre pressures, as that's more important to me than the radio or CD info or my range on available gas.

Anyone have one they almost sold but didn’t, and glad they still have it.  I have an 89 560sl.  It mostly sits in the garage.  I’ve owned it about 20 years. I almost sold it 10 years ago.  I’m glad I didn’t.  It isn’t worth a lot (Mercedes made about 2 zillion in that body style), but it is fun to drive and my wife loves it.
    I have a 1980 450 SL that I drive occasionally.

Very nice - here is mine.

My dog loves to take a drive with the top down!

I love off road activities too much to have a spotter. While not exactly driving "BigFoot" we need a higher clearance than most vehicles.

Since the child units are leaving the nest (happy dance) we will be looking to downsize from the Expedition.

Need enough space to haul a couple back packs, mMx, and coolers. Kind of looking for an old IH Scout, or older Ford Bronco, prior to the size being scaled up.

I do like the retro gear for vehicles. Have not found one yet that does not need a frame replacement, but will keep looking.

my rover has the 5.0 supercharged jag engine, its pushing 6000 # and im getting over 20 mph with it with mostly highway miles, worst ive done is 18.5 mph on a tank but i put the wrong fuel in it out of habit.  that car will do low 20's with occasionally punching it. it looks to be all wheel drive, im not sure how that works spinning wheels but thinking thats a bad idea with all wheel drive

I still own a semi-sporty motorcycle (I prefer to refer to it as a Hooligan machine) it is an entirely different experience between riding it and driving a sporty car!  Having stepped up to a modern German engineered "P" car (911) has given me a new appreciation of what a great car can do.

Is that your KTM?  I've got the TE630 set up how I want now (needed some foot peg / brake pedal mods to suit my long legs) and in SM mode (it is a TE, just got 17" SM wheels fitted) it definitely brings out your inner hooligan.

Bought 2003 Dodge 2500 Cummins 2wd diesel online (based on reading everything I could about it) from dealer in Houston - the Dodge Heavy Duty line had just been redone and I could have bought chevy/ford 1/2 ton 4wd or this 2wd.  Only wanted to buy one last truck.  Flew to Houston, got truck, drove home.  Still have it and no plans to sell it after 15 yrs and 150,000 miles.  Have had many offers and it's still worth about 1/2 of what I paid.  Even my wife doesn't want me to sell it - although she doesn't like to drive it much.  Really helped with some bathroom remodels in our last home and with our recent move to a new home.
