A crack has started in my PS

a crack has started working its way its way across my plate setter. 

Six years. Not a bad run.

Question about this. Mine is cracking but far from breaking. Once it finally goes I want to get either 2 half stones or a full stone from CGS. I have the PSWoo and extension shelf. Will 2 half stones or a single stone work with the PSWoo?

Cut the other legs off and put it in a CGS spider or Woo, or a Smokeware rasier.

I was at their home base last week to replace mine. An act of God broke it. They said you could glue it. I know - chems. Depends on what u use but as long as u don't go over 1000 degrees u should be fine. I'll look around to see what will work.

There is a heat resistant JB weld but I haven't really vetted it yet. Just tried to call them but they didnt answer. Sorry if I got your hopes up. They just replaced mine gratis. Prolly couldn't resist my pretty face (and they stand by their lifetime warranty).

I believe the pate setter only has a 3 year warranty.

Yeah I’m outside the warranty. 

I have the spider. Can’t live without it. But I use the two tier carbon steel rack from the guy that went out of business. Love it. I think going AR would abandon that system, and I don’t want to do that.

My XL PS started cracking 7 years ago.  Still hasn’t broken yet.

Update

when we got the girlfriends dad a LBGE we got the last PS the store had. They were clearanced out for  $35. 

My local store wiggled his eyebrows when he said “if we can make it less than three years since you bought it...” I couldn’t/wouldn’t do it. 

So. I’ve been using it wrapped in foil and on top of the factory grate on my low and slows. Not going to work for pizzas though. Guess I’ll keep my eyes open for a sale...
