What's coming out of my butt?!

Put a pork butt on around 7AM... looked like a good piece of meat from Sam's (cryovac Smithfield); purchased Thursday with a "sell by" date of 8/6.  Got it out this morning, rinsed it, etc and everything seems fine.  About an hour and a half into the cook and I do a quick check to spritz with some apple juice/apple cider vinegar.  There is something really strange oozing out of the money muscle.  Really dark and the area around it is "grey."

Would appreciate any thoughts on what it might be and what (if anything I should do about it)?  Does it mean there is something wrong with the meat?  Perhaps I just missed a blood pocket? Should I cut that part off now, pitch it, and finish the cook?
