    Bourdain is celebrated 'cause he told the truth, unvarnished, had a major snark attitude, and wrote half way decent.

    Aside from the few mentions that he might have had cancer...

    "....Tony lounged back, savoring the last bites of frog legs, and sharing some banter w. his dear friend Eric about how hard it was to find a really good wine pairing for amphibian. Then, that cursed tick from cyber space, his phone, gargled in his pocket. He broke off, muttering about imbeciles who don't remember to turn the damn things off, even tho' Eric heard, sotto voce, "I'm sure I did."

    Eric remembers Tony looking startled, confused. 'Phew, man, one too many bites of the goose liver, gotta go...'

    Later in his room, T looked at the text. His mind raced over other episodes. Visit Beirut, the whole town blows up. Visit Iran, your friend goes to prison. Visit Russia, and then learn your contact is no more.

    When the police opened the door, there, on the fading screen of a phone all but out of charge, the ghostly letters "uR nxt bite, Grille Trump, 7/4 No Pr0k."
