It is what Party uses to get him going.....

Have fun Robin, I love Colorado, and envy your trip. Cool place you are staying, digging the art work.

Plenty of craft beers there, and great places to eat on Pearl Street.

Hope you and Party have a blast.

Was under the table....belongs to the owners little one. I will work on it this week to see if I can discover any new uses. Be back to you on that.

I'm not jealous. Nope, not at all. You can keep it. Never liked Colorado anyway.

Actually none of the above is true. Colorado is a special place to me. Spent almost 2 years there. Met my wife and got married there. Been way too long since I've been back. Enjoy that trip, please continue to post pics. Those mountains are something else, can't really describe with words.

If you are still in Colorado and visit Denver, you need to check out Sancho's Broken Arrow. It is a Grateful Dead dive bar and a really cool spot.

Love the thread, enjoy the show.

My love affair with Colorado started in 1992, as a freshman in college, on a spring break ski trip with what turned out to be my wife. We've been many places since then, but we keep returning to Colorado year after year, winter and summer. It is a very special place -- it just draws you outside.

Just got back from 5 days in Breckenridge (with a side trip to Buena Vista to raft the Arkansas) and 2 days in Boulder.

Time to start scratching pennies together so we can book the next ski trip!

Colorado has been a place I had considered for retirement. My Beautiful Wife and I have spent much time there, and I almost transferred there several years ago.

However, that has since changed. I love Colorado, and always will, but our last trip out west, to Oregon, may have changed our direction on location for our final home, as our lives move forward.

I used to work with the National Forest Service as a kid growing up in Southeastern Kentucky. The rangers traded forestry skills for child labor, and I absolutely loved it.

They kept telling me, "If you want to see awe inspiring beauty, head west."
I did, but the only place I had not backpacked or climbed, until my most recent trip, was Oregon.

Colorado is much more convenient, but Oregon is so strategically located to all the places I want to be, and from there, beautiful places like Colorado, are so much more easier to access, than where we live now.

The one thing about Oregon, which I prefer over Colorado, is the coast of the Pacific North West. Watching the whales so close to the shore was incredible. Adding the Redwoods, and the Cascades to the area, along with the incredible climate, made it such a tremendously enjoyable experience.

I did not even mention the wine, and shame on me, It is as good as anywhere in the world.

Colorado had always been paradise to us. We have done the 14ers, and tons of the 13ers, and always try a few more each time we are out there. The crowds of folks, have increased tremendously over the years, as well they should, to such a beautiful place.

Oregon has not seen that yet. There is so much to see, and experience.

Lewis and Clark, paved the way, to the Pacific Coast, they arrived in what is now NW Oregon, where a small town now exists, called "Seaside."

  • Glad it was good times Robin. I’m jealous.

My mom left left this morning to head to Boulder and visit my sister. My wife is going at the end of the month.

Meanwhile, in Tennessee, it’s so humid the walls are sweating.
