Butts for the future...

Morning All:

Our niece is getting married at the end of June & we agreed to provide pulled pork & BBQ sauce for the wedding rehearsal dinner...did the first two butts this weekend...Friday night I trimmed them (total pre-trim weight of 19.62#)...the one on the left is Dizzy Pig Pineapple Head & the other is Braswell's Cinnamon Chipotle...

Woke up Saturday morning at 5:40am for "nature call" & decided to go ahead & get the Egg going for the butts...had them on & back in bed by 6:30am...

Dome temp was about 240 when I started & held there for at least 4 hours before letting it start to rise to about 350...ready to come off at about 4:30pm...

After sitting for a few hours we pulled them, into four fodd saver packages (no pictures) & into the freezer until we head to Illinois for the wedding...will just boil in the bag for a bit & will be almost like just off the Egg! Will probably do the other two next weekend.

Have a GREAT day!
