Heat underneath minimax

i am wondering how hot it gets below the minimax before I light it up sitting on a plastic picnic table 
should I place something right under the minimax to be safe or it doesn’t give off heat being on its legs

I have hockey pucks on the feet of my MiniMax, and it sits on a plastic table, been good so far

Go get a ceramic tile large enough for the egg to sit on. Lowe's or Home Depot will fix you up.
Mine sits in a nest with the tile under it, when we take it on the road.
