GA Mt. Eggfest Welcomes a Hero to the Egg World

The highlight of the 8th Annual Georgia Mountain Eggfest was surprising one of the very best that America has to offer, Army Master Sergeant Michael Reynolds, with a gift of a Big Green Egg and just about every accessory there is for an egg. Master Sergeant Reynolds, a career veteran, suffered a traumatic brain injury while deployed in Iraq and had to go through years of hospitalizations and rehabilitation. Unable to resume his previous vocation as a firefighter and paramedic, he had to rediscover himself. With the help and guidance of a minister, he began to learn farming. He found his direction, his purpose, and farming became his mission and his passion. He has now started his own farm, called "Reynolds Farm and Hero Cuts" and he and his wife Kim and two children are now living the farming lifestyle. Mr. J. Barrett Carter spearheaded this surprise for Master Sergeant Reynolds and many Eggfest attendees and vendors donated funds and goods to the cause. Mike the Farmer, as we affectionally call him, supplied most of the meat that J. Barrett Carter and his crew used at the eggfest, so he's off to a good start. If you ever saw what Barrett and his crew cook at the eggfest, you'll know exactly what I mean~!!
Here's a very moving video about Mike and his story (beginning at 17:14) https://www.growingagreenerworld.com/807-2/
