Didn't have the best start to the week at work so I spoiled myself with a steak last night. Kept it simple and seasoned with salt, pepper, and garlic before searing it at about 650. I got good grill marks by my standards and consistent color throughout.

was that just a sear flip sear done? that came out incredibly even“There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body.”

Looks great. I need to cook a lot more steaks.
Grill marks are excellent.

You did that really well. The close up of the cross section is one of the very best I've seen for a steak,
Isn't it great to have an Egg to even out a crappy workweek start?

Honestly I think I just got lucky it turned out so well. I have done reverse sear and sous vide cooks that haven't cooked that even. It also helped that it was such a thick steak.Large & 36" Blackstone
