More Grillgrates

Did some more wings, small flat iron and some burgers, raised to felt line with the Grillgrates. Makes for some nice office lunches.

Thank you,

I don't either.  But the competition team I hang out with uses them for their chicken and their appetizer entry - so maybe I do need them.

I agree. They are not a need. But I do like them. I also like to use them raised up some.

Thanks, I only have 1 co-worker in my office and I do share on a regular basis.
But we do have a very large break room for the whole 16th floor and I do get some evil looks on a regular basis when I warm up my lunch.lol

That's correct. And there are way to many of them. My office is a stand alone department on this floor. I don't even know the other people and would soon go broke trying to share. Are you going to Athens Eggfest this year?

I bought a full set for my SIL for Christmas (really for me and his gasser). I really like them, maybe I need some for myself.

I bet they made a great improvement on the gasser. Nothing worse than cooking on a cheap gasser with uneven heat. I have a small AOG and have cooked on a few nice Weber's at friends. Having even heat across the grates really makes life easier.

He's got the same gasser as me, Weber Genesis. Even heating is good, but man the flareups are awful. Any one have good advice on cleaning the grates. I used the utensil to scrape with and that worked pretty well.

I have similar grates, and waded up aluminum foil works great, as it molds to the channels of the grid as you clean.  A couple of foil balls is usually enough, one for each grid, depending on how gunked up they get.

Thanks I'll try that. I like my grills clean, SIL not so much. He does like a clean boat and does a helluva job on mine.

Grillgrates sell a duel channel grill brush. I don't have one so can't recommend.
I have been letting mine burn at my grilling temp while I eat dinner and then shut it down to cool. The crud in the channels mostly flakes off for me at this point.

I prefer the Weber triangle knotted wore brush to the Grill Grate one.
