Kinda funny how some just can't let that incident go.Griffin said:Ozzie_Isaac said:
It was on his website, He provided recipies and then the photos supplied with the recipies were @Griffin and @Dyal_SC 's cooks.g8golfer said:
When was his and what magazine?pgprescott said:
Steal is a harsh term. Used or borrowed is the preferred messaging.g8golfer said:Did he really steal there pictures?
The overall impression was look, I cook, I created these recipies, and these are my results. Don't about the first two items, but they were definitely not his results.
That pretty much sums up the story and the publicist or whoever was in charge of the website took the blame.

Watch Project Smoke for comedy when it's on. He was cooking lamb the other day talking about med rare. Sticks his probe in, looks at the camera with his sh!t eating grin, and says, "We are in the comfort zone." Hahaha His lamb was far beyond the "comfort zone" and well done. He cooked it twice over, cracked me up.billt01 said:Focker said:I wouldn't even approach Steve.

He is. Pete is suggesting that Raichlen is the “Bob Ross of BBQ,” meaning that he’s a lot like Bob Ross, but he does BBQ instead of painting.Rascal said:I thought Bob Ross was the guy who painted "happy" trees and such...
If you watch any of his videos on YouTube I think you’ll see that it’s a pretty apt comparison."I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike

I've never seen the two in the same room at the same time. Just sayin'.

I think that some are implying a strong resemblance.Rascal said:I thought Bob Ross was the guy who painted "happy" trees and such... -

Never a big fan of Bob Ross, but putting Raichlin into the same compartment is a disservice to Ross. I don't find Ross scary...
Raichlin was a writer of regional cuisine and diet books back in the 80s and 90s. He was culinary trained in Paris. Education was at Reed College, need we say more.
Raichlin was smart enough to get on the BBQ wagon early, and was a master at marketing it. Think of him at as the Chris Kimball of charcoal and grills. He's got a pretty good backend retail thing going, lots of cookbooks, and his own well populated website.
I find him smarmy. -
And for those of you cringing at the thought of using a shovel as a cooking surface you should do a quick google for "discada". Same idea, and used for many years.

I think really drilling down on just how close Raichlen is to Ross is perhaps taking things a bit too seriously, but YMMV.womaus said:JohnInCarolina said:
