The 2022 Winter Olympics are being hosted in Beijing-host of the 2008 Summer Olympics.  Climate change can definitely be pushed back or can the $$ just manipulate reality  =)  I realize this is post-Friday but consider this a cathartic offering.
BTW- feeling better already.

    ???
Utard could definitely host both, not sure what you're saying here.

It's also sad to note that most of the snow in S Korea is also artificial, look at all the brown hills on all sides of the downhill run.  And if anyone can push back climate change, it's China, now the world leader in emissions change.  :( :( :(
Recently added to my Bucket List:  Ski in Dubai, on their totally-enclosed, air-chilled ski hill.  Just because.  :D

I have never traveled outside of the US but have always wanted to go to Dubai. I have heard it’s a crazy expensive city. Maybe one day I will get the chance.

How many locales have hosted both winter and summer games-not countries??     Low grade research would yield zero until 2022.  Just for some weekend fodder-

Yup so are Lake Placid 1932 and Montreal 1976 (never mind Lake Placid in 1980)...around 100 miles apart.  FWIW-

Beijing will become the only city to have hosted both winter and summer games but I think Beijing only ended up with them because they were the only major city that bid on them.
