The best two shows that I went to were free. One was a regional band called Cowboy Mouth in the 90’s . The other was when Charlie Daniels held a free concert in a beachside park after Katrina.

For me the best live show is pretty much anytime I've seen Jimmy Buffet. It's like taking a seven day Caribbean vacation in one evening. I saw one of his show at GaTech in the 90s where Fats Domino was the opening act, and James Brown showed up to sit in with Fats.

saw Springsteen back in early 80s. roommate's girlfriend worked at the local radio station promoting it.  great seats for a fantastic show.

David Allen Coe rings a bell. When I first moved to houston, went to Gilley's.  I believe Coe was the performer.  I do remember the fight that started in the pool room and ended up outside in the parking lot.........was kind one of those 'aha' moments......welcome to houston tom, play nice.......lol.

The best, Stevie Ray!  Followed up by Pink Floyd, the Allman Brothers, Eric Clapton Journeyman tour and Journey in 1982.
    Morristown TN, LBGE and Mini-Max.

Another great no frills concert was Chris Stapleton. Just about the music, no special light show or anything. The worst was Bob Dylan! That show was terrible.

I'm with whomever suggested best concert/music show...When I saw the thread title I figured not a bad opener for Friday eve what with the adult entertainment along the then fairly open border with Mexico in the late 60's.  Even animals made the cut.   =)
That was my thought too, but won't ruin a quality thread.

Best live show I have ever been to was Chris Ledoux after a PBR event.  Lots of drunk cowboys, fights, stage rushes, flying copenhagen cans, paramedics, police.  It was epic.
