greetings friends,
It’s four inches of predicted snow here in here in a few hours. I know - you live in the great white north and four inches ain’t squat. Here, it’s a lot...
so, I am firing three butts for the gang at the restaurant for family meal.
But I have all these leftover rubs from the past year...
.... I rubbed them with ALL of the Old rubs I don’t usually use... COMBINED!!
it feally looks oretty fantastic, imho. I am
going to make this a January tradition.
So — cheers to you all as we await our own little snowpocalypse. !!
ill have some super dramatic snowflake smoke
pics in a few hours.
8-Damien

I will add, if you made it this far, that my incredible girlfriend got me the Smoke for my birthday. Added the WiFi option. I love it.
I’m not on board with the controllers yet - I enjoy the hands on aspect of the process.
But seeing the temps outside the limitations of Bluetooth or simple rf range has been really incredible.
I highly recommend it!!

Snowpocalypse? You best load up your Escalade with sweet Dixie Champagne. Hellfire and damnation to the Devil's Dandruff!!
Good idea with the rubs.

Stacked the remains for gifts for the neighbors and a few restaurant regulars.
The results have been spectacular. I am really feeling dialed in on this. Brisket cooks too. My two favorites and they are getting a better and better.
Thanks for reading!

Sure wouldn't mind reading this thread and seeing what is, I'm sure, great pics. But the photos take so long to load I could do my own pulled pork butt while waiting.

Yeah that’s what I meant by the forum being slow recently. I had trouble uploading too. Sorry!Large BGE and Medium BGE

No worries...I'm just sorry too that it takes so long for some of these threads to download that I lose interest.
I suspect it is actually because people take photos with their phones (what could be more natural?) and then upload them straight to the forum. That's what is slowing down the forum.
Most photos on recent phones are quite large--2k+ pixels or nearly 40 inches wide at 72dpi (internet standard) and often approaching 20mb in size.
Most forum software has the ability to limit or adjust the size of those photos so as to not overload the display. But not this one apparently.
That said, there are small quick apps for Android (dunno about IPhone) that will allow you to resample your photos toot sweet. From 2848x2136, for instance, to 800x600. The pic will look the same on the screen but will load in a snap.
-
Some threads do load slowly for me, I’m sure pic size has something to do with it, but that can’t be the only factor. I opened this thread on my phone (first time viewing it) with no WiFi and an LTE connection that’s only a couple of bars. Loaded fine.
Great thread Damien.Not a felon -
