Advice requested....please

I have a lg BGE that I use a lot and a small that rarely gets used. I also have a gas grill that also very rarely gets used. Through one of the companies I rep for, I just won another grill. I can pick a Traeger or a Weber and since I know very little about Traeger, I’m looking for some suggestions. Will the Traeger be a good fit and something I may use along with my lg BGE?

Thanks!

Are you offered a specific model from each manufacturer or any grill from either manufacturer?

I think the lower end Traegers are made in China and have had issues the past few years?

Great questions.  Pete may have a different view, but if it’s a Weber Summit, jump all over it. If it’s a gasser or kettle, traeger all day

My brother-in-law has a Traeger and loves it.....FWIW.

The Traeger gives you something you don’t already have. That’s what I’d do. The “lower quality from China” info seems to be true,  but that mostly affects longevity.  If you take care of it and protect it - it will last 5+ years which is a good run for something you got free. And I’ve cooked on a Traeger and eaten food cooked on them and they put out some good good food with very little effort.

People who have issues with longevity of those cookers are ones who live in extreme environments or are just careless with their stuff. Five years is if you left it out in the rain and snow uncovered and then ran it over.

Take whichever one you can sell easier on Craigslist.  Or see if there's a dealer in town that will swap you for some egg accessories.  Probably easier to sell the traeger because of all the advertising.

You already have the cadillac.....two of them.....why downgrade just cuz it was free?
