Best ham I have ever eaten!

This year I was inspired by a jar of mayhaw jelly I found in my pantry. I combined it with a Cheerwine reduction and a little xanthan gum to tighten it up. Applied it every 15 minutes at 275 for an hour and a half and the results were incredible. Added some pecan wood pellets for a little extra flavor as well. Merry Christmas!

Thanks for the share. Doubt I could find a mayhaw closer than 400 miles. Reading that its a kind of hawthorn, but not so bitter. Seems like a great glaze you made with it.

That looks like the best ham ever. Well done.

I don't care much for jellies...UNLESS...it's mayhaw jelly. LOVE that stuff and it does well as a glaze for pork loin.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
