Hello All- Hope you are well. I'm selling one of my Large eggs and some accessories. I plan on selling the egg locally but figured I would list the CyberQ and AR here since I could ship it if someone wanted it. Cyber Q has about 10 uses on it and is in mint condition. Has 4 probes and fan/kit for Large BGE. AR is well used but in perfect working order.

Asking $200 for the Cyber Q ($150 off the new model and $75 cheaper than Flame Boss 200 with same features) and $110 for AR R&B Combo, Grid Extender, and Spider (That's $100 off new for same equipment). I'm going to list the AR with the egg this afternoon. to see if I can sell it all together without shipping anything but if you want it, let me know and I'll see if I can find a way to ship it. I think I'll get somewhere close to these prices here locally but I'll listen if you have a reasonable offer. Again, my bias is to sell local if I can. I don't really want to spend a bunch of effort packing and shipping stuff out. They Cyeber Q should be pretty simple to ship but the rest would be a PITA.

I'm sure someone will ask so I'm selling the large with Platesetter, Side Shelves, Nest, Kick Ash Basket, and Smokeware SS top for $600. Will have brand new box and fire ring (need to go pick up). Has Rutland Gasket, and 6 month old hinges and handle. In excellent shape inside and out.

Did you sell the rig with the egg?  I'm interested in the rig if you didn't

I'll post a review as soon as I use it a few times.

I'm slowly turning my eggs in to what they do best (grilling and wood fired oven) and adding specialized stuff for the other things I like to do (low and slow and pizza/naan).

@The Cen-Tex Smoker Start deciding where you’re going to put that wood oven. That Roccbox may be like a gateway drug...

Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"

@The Cen-Tex Smoker - don't know about your dishwasher process but if I have to deliver a low&slow brisket for an early PM lunch (like today)  then the BGE wins every time.  I'm too old to be feeding sticks all night.  Of course, you still have the BGE option-enjoy your latest acquisition into the arsenal.

I don't stay up all night for anything. I can do a BGE cook or start in the dishwasher and finish in the egg, or even do the start/stop method (cook half way, refrigerate and finish later). Had good results with all.

Fortunately I don't have anywhere to put a large WBO. This will have to be my muse for pizza for a while

Looking forward to the review.  It's a wood fired oven so I assume one can bake with it, Mac and Cheese, Bread etc.

yep. all of the above and you can actually set the temp when using gas. No thermostat but has a thermometer on the side that you can use as a guide to manually tweak the flow of gas. You are limited by the size of the door so large Boules may be a problem but you can definitely use it as a WBO (or gas fired, or lump)

The Cen-Tex Smoker!  When we saw this, Bruce and I were going to contact you to see about buying the BGE, but I saw it too late.  We finally got to move up to Lake Buchanan a week ago and are absolutely loving it!  The only "casualty" in the move was the Medium BGE.  The movers were setting it down on our driveway to rest a minute, and about 3" from the driveway surface, it slipped out of his hands.  The base broke, along with the platesetter.  I think I'll see if I can just replace the base.  Poor Bruce's eyes sure lit up when I told him you were selling your large!!  If you and Janell are ever headed this way, please let us know.  We'd love to have y'all out, and do a little cooking in the soon to be completed outdoor kitchen!!

@EggObsessed - Having been screwed by many a move and the outcome, if you have the option I would go thru the claim process.  You never know how it will get resolved.  Your call.  Regardless, enjoy your new locale in brisket nirvana.

oh man. I hate to hear that. Never a good day when an egg meets its demise. I would have loved to have the large end up there! Didn't know you were looking. I've had 8 people tell me they wanted it. Must have sold it too cheap :). We would love to come visit some time.

Roccbox. It's basically a pizza oven but can but used to cook other stuff too. Burns wood, charcoal, pellets, or gas. I actually love pizza on my BGE's but the last several times I did it, it smoked nasty white smoke for over an hour before I could put them on. I decided I wanted a dedicated pizza/naan cooker-something that rolls flame across the top. I'll use it as a tandoor type cooker as well. I haven't used egg #2 very much since it almosr ripped my arm off when loading it in my truck last August. Figured I could reshuffle the arsenal on the deck and put that real estate to use for something shiny and new.

You could have added a patio to expand your grilling real estate. Just sayin'....

  • Starting to do my research.  I have been looking at a dedicated portable wood fire pizza also.  Did you happen to look at the Uuni 3?  What were the decision factors in choosing Roccbox?

yes. Read WesternBBQ post from last night. He had an Uuni and sold it and bought a Roccbox.

I was leaning Uuni because of the price but it's clear that you get what you pay for with the Roccbox.

This is my new naan cooker too. I can't wait. I hope to have it with me this weekend for AWSS IV. It's a slim chance that it will be here before I come down though.
