Hey guys what are your thoughts of low and slow turkey smoking?

i have a 15 pound bird that im thinking of smoking at 225. how long should it take?

    Timing will depend a little on what you have in the cavity.  If the answer is "nothing" you'll be done in 3-5 hours.   Rotate the bird so the dark meat is toward the hottest part of your egg and the white meat is on the cooler side.

    If you stuff it, it takes longer because the cavity isn't full of hot air cooking meat from the inside in addition to the heat cooking it from the outside.  And you have to cook until the stuffing is cooked/foodsafe.
