dog rolled in dead greasy togue

wow is this bad :o togue are laketrout covered in a stinky dripping mucus, smells like my release nets after a weekend fishing. so far tried shampoo, the homemade skunk remedy, neither touches the smell. its worse than a dead rotting bear carcass, my last dogs delight. 2 hour ride with him this morning, you know he is sleeping on the couch right now  :D

Ya know, Gordie seems like a real pita! Like mine! =) At least he hasn't chewed up your stuff. My Brit doesn't any more (well, hardly ever), but he's enjoyed filet of rocking chair, boat shoe tartare, recliner soufflé and a number of other delicacies! Bought a tin of Colman's Mustard powder a while back. Left him in the car with it while I went into a store for a bottle of wine. Came back to teeth marks all over the tin! Next time, maybe I'll just get a goldfish.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

he isnt bad in the house but i fear the rolling in the dead fish is going to happen weekly til the snows covered it up. been atleast a year since his last bath, he swims pretty much all year. last year it was lobster he was getting into, way better than greasy togue ;)

Got a pickup truck and a drive thru car wash?
  • These mutts do have a taste for strange things. When I lived out west mine would do the same thing with dead salmon that washed up during the big runs. Think I used some hand degreaser/pumice soap. Or just left him be for a nice winter sheen...

I use salt on my hands after fish. Not sure how to apply but would that work?

Hope it works out. As you know, toothpaste works great on that fish smell.

Your dog will not appreciate having it's "new cologne" removed...
(It's actually an instinctual process for canines to cover up their smell to confuse their future meals)
