My wife can move what she wants of mine in the house. That rule does not apply in the garage! She now asks me when she's about to move tools out in the garage. I'm already bad enough at misplacing tools. I go crazy when I actually remember where I put them and they have since been moved elsewhere. My wife pretty much stays out of the garage when I'm working on something. It's probably why it looks the way it does.

Married 37 years and still haven’t figured out her “filing system”. She will put batteries in one drawer, the next time she buys some they will be filed in a different drawer.

I have one drawer in kitchen that I keep some tools in for quick household fixes. I have found a potato peeler, an injector and even hair clips in there.

I quit trying to figure it out it out years ago.
I don’t even bother looking for anything, I just ask her where everything is. When I ask why she puts thing where she does, she has a perfectly logical (to her) explanation.

But it I love her so...

I love a nice set of ironed sheets.  Didn't realize this younger generation of women won't iron sheets until after I got married.

As a bachelor, I thought I had high standards just to have sheets.

    Iron them... that's funny.

    Edit:

Possible solution for you?  Start showing showing the sheets to anyone who comes by the abode.  Ironed sheets yee shall have.

One of the best events I enjoyed was throwing a friggin vacuum cleaner off the Royal Gorge bridge on my way from San Diego to DC in 1985.    It was definitely not on the preferred route but the satisfaction  (SWMBO followed a while later)

Two neat freaks here. It gets nuts sometimes with 2 kids and a dog but it works. I'm always yelling at the kids "Just put it where it belongs every time you use it". Zero carpet in the house ZERO. Swiffer daily and wet mop a few times a week.
