Deep discussion but would love some feedback. I believe in right and wrong but not necessarily good and bad..... In light of the Vegas shooting I'm trying to apply this. Thoughts?

Some philosophy major will come along and crush this, but to me, right and wrong pertain to a what. Good and bad pertain to a why. Both are relative to social norms. Further away from the norm, the more universally objectionable it is, but, ****, I can't do this without beer. Be right back.Love you bro!

Took four philosophy courses in college. Never a hot chick professor unfortunately. There is good and bad on many levels. Morality being subjective, choices being objective. Mental illness is the issue however. Mentally stable, un-brainwashed (think ISIS) folks don't do this. Question is, why did this guy snap now and why was this perceived solution? Without ascribing any belief, either my own or others, I defer to the mass of standard usage. Good and bad can be recognized, likewise right and wrong.
They are 2 pairs of terms that are roughly positive and negative. But not equivalent. So the pairs need to be separated.
An example: Turning right or left at an intersection when one should have gone straight ahead is wrong, but not necessarily bad. Its bad if it hurts anyone, oneself or others.
But then the evaluation turns to intent. The deed may be bad, but it should not be considered malicious if arising from incompetence, sickness etc. Malice must be intended.
By definition, actions proceeding from malice may have profit or loss, but remain at base evil.
