OT Camping OT

My advice when you start out is buy used. There are so many things you think you want and don't need. Our wNts changed after the kids were grown. My wife and I don't mind camping in the winter or if the weather is not so good. So, we like a nice den. When the kids were with us, that was not so important. After 30 plus years of serious camping, we bought a new one. Mostly because it met 95% of out wants and needs. I have bought campers at good prices and use them for a season and sell them. It is a wise way to help decide. Camping life is great. Enjoy!

Eventually, we plan to do the RV thing. But when and while we can, we plan on summits and going deep in the woods.

i have a couple tents for hiking into remote ponds but my favorite is a 16 x 22 full wall tent. fits 6 army cots, a wood stove, and card table with chairs, used to do some wilderness type camping with the boat

My motorhome is the best purchase my family has made. We LOVE it. Our family is closer, we spend more time together and go on 3 times as many trips as we did before having it.

Got a Yeti Tote. Holds a case. Not an issue. My Beautiful Wife can carry it.

I bought a Marmot 8P, like yours equipped for stove and interior recreation.
Weighs about 22 pounds. Can pull the rain fly, back and opens to a screened roof. Comfortable with small tove and vent to 20F, thus far. I have not camped in lower temps yet, but plan to.

the tents are overrated for cold temps, stove or not. ive done just above minus 10f with just a 0 degree bag and blue tarp on a windy lake with no problem. i cant deal with heavey snoring
