Spectacular trip and pics.  Definitely magazine quality.  What a great road-trip.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

My Beautiful wife has never been, and I think we (I) will be looking at going back sometime in the next couple of years, or sooner. She is almost as crazy as I am about outdoor adventure.
Thank you so much for sharing the wonderful images from your awesome trek.
    Just incredible.

You probably already know this, but mid Sep and early June are prime times to go. Before June a lot of stuff is still closed/inaccessible. Early to mid June the cubs start to appear. End of June to start of Sep the crowds appear, making the park a massive traffic jam. From mid-Sep to end Sep the crowds dwindle, and then winter hits.

I spent the summer semester (June-August) doing surveying for the USGS in Yellowstone, (sweetest gig ever) while in college. Although the greatest portion of the time, we spent working and collecting samples, for confirmation and upgrading existing data, we did have the opportunity to get deep in the back country and see some very amazing sights of nature, the typical patrons of the park does not know, or get to see.
This was before the utilization of digital imagery for photos. It was breathtaking. I have been back since those days, and yearn for the chance to go deep into the back country again.
Your images shared, and the descriptions thereof, have made this happen, and I can't thank you enough for feeding the hunger.

In that case, and on the assumption that you have a decent digital imagery device (inc. an iPhone), looking forward to seeing pictures in the future. :D
