My Blackstone 36 came in the other day and I started the seasoning with oil, onion, bacon routine. First cook was a little cheese and bacon quesadilla on this 4" corn tortillas. No pic of those, wasn't thinking.

Dinner is a smash burger with onions fried in A1. Made 1/3lb burgers based off some other threads. Should've stuck with 1/4, they're just a hair big and I could only eat half the double cheeseburger! Simple but so good! Instantly worth the purchase. Planning on fajitas tomorrow.

Still working on the seasoning but I'd rather earn it by cooking!

    I know this is unsolicited advice, but I see your BlackStone is up against a brick wall. You will soon discover that grease pops and flies everywhere! My little 17" single burner really dishes it out so I know your big 36" will kick up a storm of grease!

    I appreciate the advice. Any tips to protect or prevent it? Other than moving? I've got a little boy running around all the time and I didn't like how it dealt out the heat. This way I only have to worry about the front. Brick on the right and my egg on the left.

    Great cook.  Glad you got the 36".  You'll use it more than you imagined.

    Depends on how permanent it will be sitting there. Ever see one of those 3 sided fold down wind screens they sell for camp stoves? Using that principle you could make one using a sheet of metal to fit your 36". Even a free standing piece of metal over a wooden frame could rest on the deck floor behind your BS. A shield of at least 12" tall though 15" to 18" would be better. Reason I know the grease splattering problem is I wear eyeglasses and after a simple burger cook my glasses are a greasy mess!

    BTW your burgers were AAA+++
