You did, he's right. I can explain at BCIV.
Well, you are right and he is right if the WAP node antennae is a sector or focused and the user node is omnidirectional.

I probably just made that up too ;)

I use Cisco Meraki gear at home. Router/Firewall, switch, access points. It's all cloud managed and is great for those wanting Enterprise level solutions for their home environment.

Very late.  I've had their AC AP since January 2016!

While we are kinda on the subject, I changed out my old sprinkler controller boxes for the Rachio controller and I love it. It connects to the Wi-Fi and can be controlled by any smart phone or tablet you setup. You can control it from anywhere with internet. Take pic of the yard for the app so you know what zones are what sprinklers. Run zones with your phone to see if any heads need to be fixed. Use your own rain/freeze sensor or connect to a local weather station to delay sprinklers. Or set your own delay easily on your phone. Even put in what kinds of sprinklers are in each zone to estimate water usage. It also changes run time according to seasons. I'm most happy that I never have to go in the garage and program that damn box that always reset when the power went out, or go back and forth to test the sprinklers ever again.

Yep, same for me. I have the Meraki MX Security appliance -> two MS Switches -> 3 MR Access Points. All switches and APs are hard-wired. Meraki is a rock solid solution.
