Working on a playlist for the upcoming eclipse on August 21st.. Columbia (SC) is a prime viewing location....and of course we will use that as an excuse to party and cook some good vitals. Working on a playlist....and need some help. So far, here are a few I have captured:

Dylan - Not Dark Yet
Floyd - Great Gig in the sky & Eclipse
Bruce- Darkness at the Edge of Town
Little Feet- Spanish Moon
Frampton - I want to go to the Sun
REM - Man on the moon

You get the drift.....some others that come to mind? Thanks in advance.

Appreciate all of your suggestions.......Most helpful.

For those of you suggesting Dark Side of The Moon.....note that it is the name of the Pink Floyd album....there is no song by that name. Breathe is likely the song you are referencing....informational purposes....sorry.....not trying to be a d!ck.

Ah, come on, Walking on Sunshine is a fun, upbeat song. Even us old timers can get behind that. Oh, and the line "I'll see you on the dark side of the moon," is from Brain Damage.

@northGAcock here is a challenge for you, and something I have done at a gathering of folks to bump up the fun. Go ahead and add Walking on Sunshine and another sure crowd pleaser, Mahna Mahna into the mix, crank it up and just look around at the smiles and fun that enthuses, especially the women and those with a real sense of humor. I bet you you will find even the more reserved in the group laughing and dancing. That or I hang out with a weird bunch.

Imagine cranking Zeppelin's Immigrant Song (applicable lyrics for the occasion "We come from the land of the ice and snow, From the midnight SUN where the hot springs flow.") and going right into Mahna Mahna. Hilarious, and something everyone there will remember.

    Bob Marley - Pale Moonlight
His son Stephen Marley did a cover of this song as well that I like as much as the original.

Bob Marley - Turn Your Lights Down Low
It doesn't have anything about the moon in the title but has "Moon" in the lyrics.
