    And Rome/Italy

And we know that this would never happen in the US  (well except the rash of Date Drug events that were so well publicized!) or

and how about those missing kidneys?

Not disagreeing with @DoubleEgger but I worked in Mexico spending 3-6 months per year there for the last 15 years.  Just like the US... you need to choose where to go and where to NOT be a target.  If I were going to an "all inclusive" resort, I would check with the Mexicans to see if there are places to ignore/avoid.

Would I go to Mexico now?  In an instant.  Would I stay in an all inclusive resort?  Probably not but maybe.  For me, the interior of Mexico is a far more interesting place to visit and see the history and lifestyles of the locals.  If I need the Gulf... I'll go to a US resort.

    Just sayin'!

When in doubt... bring/buy your own hootch at the airport/liquor store!!

What about somewhere in the Eastern Caribbean?  Scrub Island?  The name isn't the best, but it's a cool place.

Costa Rica does rock. We just went here:

    https://tulemar.com/

Rated a top 10 resort in the world on TripAdvisor. Was outstanding. Saw over a dozen 2 and 3 toed sloths in the wild in the trees around the property.   Spectacular views. 3 species of monkeys hopping around in the trees. A personal concierge who gives you his cell number. Happy hour in a negative edge pool looking at the sunset with toucans in the trees and scarlet macaws flying by - and a great restaurant. It wasn't all inclusive but in many ways it was better. Went canyoning. Rode a horse to a waterfall and went swimming. It was awesome.

XXL BGE, Karebecue, Klose BYC, Chargiller Akorn Kamado, Weber Smokey Mountain, Grand Turbo gasser, Weber Smoky Joe, and the wheelbarrow that my grandfather used to cook steaks from his cattle

    San Antonio, TX

    We went a different route.

San Ramon for a cloud forest tour (villa blanco)

then Arenal Volcano (Arenal Springs resort) where we did a rain forest tour, ww rafting, rappelling

Then pacific coast in Manuel Antonio. Stayed at Si Como No. Sub tropical forest tour (Manuel Antonio National Park) and zip line and a beach day.

Probably best trip ever. Not restful, but fun and educational.

Tulemar is about 2 miles from Manuel Antonio. We also toured the park. That's a great area.

Yes. The capuchins are particularly aggressive.

We are kicking around another vacation in Mexico.   We have stayed at Krismia El Dorado Maroma and Sandals in Jamaica.  Mexico blew away Jamaica.  We can't lay out the $ for El Dorado at this time.  My question, has any of you eggheads vacationed at Beloved?  Any tips would be greatly appreciated . We enjoy the small "boutique non party resorts.
My wife owns a travel agency. We are actually at the El Dorado Maroma right now. Leaving tomorrow sadly.  I can message you her contact info if you are interested. She is an expert when it comes to this area.  Would love to help y'all out.

Stayed at Dreams Puerto Adventuras about three years ago in Riviera Maya.  Not sure if they have adult only. Headed to Dreams LaRomana on Sunday in the DR. Had a great experience with them in Mexico.
