Anyone designed/built a wood only table? No screws, nails, or glue.

I've been thinking about doing a wood only construction of a table for my XL BGE. Has anyone already done this? Given the level of craftsmanship I've seen in some of these builds, I'm suspecting the answer is yes. But I can't seem to find an example.

I'd like to see one done

I've seen "trestle"-style tables built with none of the above, great for folks who move often (tables can be disassembled).
I've designed (but not yet built) a table with no nails/screws, but I can't give up the glue!___________"When small men begin to cast big shadows, it means that the sun is about to set."

Another option so that the table could be easily disassembled and reassembled is no screws, nails, or glue. However, still using tie rods to hold the table together through tension and friction.
I need to think this through a bit more. I just don't want to recreate the wheel if someone already accomplished something along these lines. -
Was thinking about this when this popped into the 'old pea brain... use knockdown hardware. You know, a la IKEA. Check out Rockler or other Woodworking sites for inspiration. http://www.rockler.com/hardware/fasteners/knock-down-hardwareSouthwestern CT

As a woodworking hack, you can take away my nails and screws, but there's gonna be trouble if you touch my glue!Flint, Michigan

With my skill level, I do not believe I would place a ceramic cooker such as a BGE with its weight, in or on, a table made of wood without glue, nails screws or any other fastener, unless it was cut as a single piece construction.
Maybe a construction idea like a wooden barrel, even though it still utilizes metal bands to retain the planks?
A wood table without the use of fasteners to support the size and weight, in my mind, would likely be massive in both size and scope due to the size of all the joints to be cut for stability and support.
I believe it can be done. Good luck.

It would have to be a massive stump for sure. While camping, my MM has found itself perched on many of those which you have posted."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

Might ask @Clay Q. Other than the top, I think this (My mini table, hand crafted) might be what you were thinking about. This wasn't for an XL but I'm sure he could create something similar for your size egg.Ubi panis, ibi patria.

Gravity is VERY reliable. But No, I'm not good a designer, let alone craftsman to manage such a build.
Building LIGHT might be a challenge, too.

I suspect the linked video may provide a clue or two. -
