OT- Griddled Romaine Salad

tarheelmatt
tarheelmatt Posts: 9,867
I like a grilled romaine salad, but wasn't feeling like messing with the Egg.  So, decided to do a griddled romaine.  Had some fresh onions, tomatos I place on the griddle too.

Put the onion on with canola, salt, and pepper, and bacon.

Then, brushed the lettuce with Duke's mayo and layed on the flat top.

Got a nice char on them.

Plated shot.  Added fresh cukes from the garden, parm, and ranch dressing.  I like ranch.

Thanks for looking!

Blackstone for the win.  Matt, I truly prefer grilled romaine.  And that shirt is working out great on the boat, thanks again.

Try the griddle romaine punk. Cook it in bacon grease like did and brush with mayo. You'll like it.

I need that. Looks delicious Matt. Your photography is incredible too. I think Jason and I are still battling for last place in that catagory.

These weren't the best as they are only snips from the video I shot, but thanks for kudos.

You're doing great with photos pal, really. Now, B-rent's lake shot where the lake was 90° off, was something else.

Great cook as always Matt! I love the Blackstone. I just bought one for my niece she is picking it up today. She borrowed mine for a breakfast cook and fell in love with it, so I bought her one.

I will have to try both using the Blackstone and also the Duke's mayo you mentioned on the video. Up here in the Northeast we use Helmanns. But I think Dukes has become available recently. Time to see what the Southern folk swear by.
