First Crack at Plate Ribs

    Egg is coming up to temp. Will be putting these on shortly. I asked for plate ribs, I'm pretty sure I got plate ribs but the sticker says short ribs. Oh well. 






    How do you like the Salt Lick rub?  I bought a bottle to try, but everything tasted like pure pepper.  Just wondering if it was the bottle I had or just the way it is.

    The rib cook looks good.

    Thanks for the great pics and reminding me I have a rack in the freezer.  Well I did, on the egg now

    Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

    @Desleight  It is a peppery rub IMO too.  However it wasn't too bad this time around.  I have a little bit less than half the bottle left.  I tend to try and shake it around to mix it up some.  Tends to settle in layers if I don't.

    Thanks.  I find it strange that I have eaten at The Salt Lick several times and never found their food to have that much of a peppery taste.  I don't believe that what they are selling in the bottle is what they use at the restaurant.

    You inspired me. But a major thunderstorm made me take them off about an hour early. They were still eatable but not like yours

    Looking good bud. Never have let a thunderstorm or blizzard stop me. Beauty of the egg is it doesnt care about the elements. It just wants to ride.

    Never had the privlidge of eating there. Actually got it in last years rub exchange from @SoCalTim
