    I agree with @Coltsfan.  Large should run a loong time with full load at low n slow temp.

    Ive done four shoulders at a time in my Large but never six.

    Bummer about the lid. Thatt egg looks pretty new and is a shame the lid slipped like that....

    Broken platesetters?   Check - I've done that.  Broken lid?  Oh my.  My blood pressure might have hit the redline if that happened to me!  Sorry to see that happened, but glad your cook turned out good!  Take it in stride.  Later on down the road, you may find yourself laughing while you tell the story! :)
