    HEB often has prime sirloin on sale at $7.99/lb, earlier this week the butcher sold some to me for $5.99/lb. While good, it was nothing like black from SRF. Now I know why, thanks for the read.

    Wow - kindof exciting and disappointing at the same time!  This makes me think I should probably opt for the $3.99 a lb CAB Prime brisket at the butcher over the $3 a lb Costco Prime...

    We buy our steaks as ribeye roasts at Costco and carve them up. I'll compare the choice to the prime option and everyone once in a while the choice at under $8 a lb will look as good or better than the prime at $11-12. Not always but often enough.

    The last choice cut we got was/is fantastic. Really nice marbling throughout.
