Second chicken......

....turned out pretty good. Cooked indirect at 400. Squash filled with bacon bits, cheese and panko. Potato recipe stolen from Dyal_SC. Loving the egg.

Nice. You make do the same cook next chicken but go direct.
Salado TX & 30A  FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given another Mini to add to the herd.

Agreed, raised direct is the way to go. Nice looking cook!

That 400 raised direct for whole spatchcock turkey, just turkey wings or drumsticks. Or chicken wings / drumsticks.

Yep. 400°, raised direct (or, if not raised, just use less lump). I like to flip mine a time or two until I get the color I like. Others don't bother to flip.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Great cook. I have done chicken both ways, and it is great, either way. Your cook looked fantastic.
