Green eggs from Italy ?

Hey everyone
my neighbor is telling me he's ordered a large bge from Italy for 450$ has anyone heard of this? Sounds like a scam to me.
I would only buy from a dealer anyway as I have always done regardless.

Europe has proper BGE distribution and high prices. I just looked at official dealers and found a mini in Italy for 783 Euro, so around USD 850! $450 for a Large isn't going to happen.

Maybe you should start selling your neighbor all the junk taking up space in your garage.

It's possible he ordered a green kamado but I seriously doubt it's an official BGE. I don't see how they could make it on this side of the Atlantic ship it to Italy then ship it back and have it cost half.

I hate that for your neighbor. Maybe there's some fraud protection with the credit card. Hope the damage is minimal.

An older guy that works for my FIL was saying he has a serious girlfriend in Africa.  They only know each other through the interwebs.  Anyway, her money is all tied up in gold.  He is saving his money to send to her.  $7500 gets her here, then they can get married and go trade her gold in for US currency.
