Egg Location Question

We are moving to Augusta at the beginning of June.  At my old house I always kept egg in table on back deck.  At the house we are moving into we have screened in porch.  Could I put in in screened in porch if I want?  Does it batter with smoke and high temperatures for different cooks?  Thanks in advance for advice.

    I think it's a bad idea to put a grill on a flammable deck (assuming it's attached to the house). I could be wrong, but I would think that a screened area would retain far more smoke than I would want to deal with.

    And even if it didn't, you have the carbon monoxide issue with it being close to windows and doors. Even without a screen, I think the minimum distance is supposed to be 15' or so, probably more with the reduced ventilation from the screens.

    Plus, you have to be more careful with a ceiling...


    There will be people who will disagree, saying they've had theirs on a deck for years, or on a screened porch. Maybe they're right. Or lucky. In any case, I wouldn't do it.

    I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

    I'm with @Carolina Q no way, no how .... unless you install a massive vent hood and never operate unattended, including overnight and have no flammable materials nearby, and it is not attached to an inhabited structure.
