Steak got away from me.:(

Started out with Big Bertha as the indirect piece with carrots on for 10 mins then the ribeyes went on till they hit. 120.  

Then the steaks went into big Bertha for a sear 


Phone rang and I got distracted. This is resting before I discovered??


WTF.   I over cooked the damn steak. 


Steaks were ok,Mrs3969's taters were excellent and the carrots were fantastic.  Moral of the story; don't answer phone when cooking thin steaks.

    But if all enjoyed then it did it's job.  Looks great from here.

    Dude we've all been there (some more than others) lol. I buy thicker steaks now for this very reason.  =)

    Mrs 3969 likes her steaks just a tad under what was pictured.  Given the added degrees of doness I will settle in and try harder next time

    @blind99. - It was decent.  I would count it as decent but not a win.  Lil disappointed in the steak but the taters and carrots carried the meal.

    @Ozzie_Isaac - I'm only happy with my hot n fast steak.  Gonna learn to do what works and quit messing around with all these diff ways if cooking steak.

    Live to fight another day.    Nice job otherwise.  Carrots looks great.  If you have a sous vide the carrots strayed that way and done at 183 for an hour and finished hot and fast on the egg are great too!
