Spring Valley Restaurant- Best breakfast in town. Get the biscuits and gravy.

Country Barbeque - The fried tenderloin biscuit is life changing.

BBQ is just okay. Give Stameys a whirl

Not BBQ but 1618 Seafood Grille is a great higher-end restaurant.  I also enjoy lunches at Green Valley Grill.  Lots of folks talk about Big Burger Spot or Hops Burger Bar, but I'm impartial.  There are many more that I'm sure others will chime in on.

I checking in on him about two weeks ago (I think).  Said all was well, just busy with some home improvement stuff.

Congrats on your Final 4 win yesterday. I guess Brent will be unloading and loading your eggs at the Butt Blast this year in addition to prep and cooking your stuff. Hope we meet up.....I.e. make it to the final. ;)

    @MaskedMarvel works at 1618 Grille.

    Stamey's was on Man Fire Food - Decent Q  - http://www.cookingchanneltv.com/shows/man-fire-food/episodes/carolina-cue

    PrintWorks is nice.

Table 16 is a place I've wanted to try forever.  Hear it's great.

Hops Burger bar is cool place.

Crafted The Art Of Taco is good.

    Green Valley Grille is nice.

Dame's Chicken and Waffles is good.

Lived here most of my life so here's a quick run down

    burger-
Hopp's- two locations. Rated #1 burger in America last year- get there early and enjoy. It's really that good.

    BBQ-
nothing great here- Stamey's or County Time- both average. But the tenderloin biscuit with cheese added (country time) is strong. Clarks in Kernersville or drive to Lexington. Mac's is newer and great beer selection but food so-so

Crafted- awesome funky higher end taco place downtown

    Thai- Rearn Thai on Market

breakfast- smith street diner, Green Valley Grill

Upscale- without a doubt 1618 Seafood Grille- I travel a lot on expense account and this one ranks up with the best. If you go make sure to get Damien as your waiter- he's an egged and a great waiter. Can't remember his handle or would tag him. Marisol, Undercurrent also very good.

Give me a shout if you want feedback on anything else-

@Wolfpack @tarheelmatt thanks for the nod

Lots of great recommendations, but if you'd like to have something at 1618, I work sat-wed -- ask for damien and DEFINITELY let me know you're a forum Member...

if if you ever hit Marisol ask for Scott and tell
him damien sent you - he's the best in the state.

hope  you are all well. See you at the butt blast!

Only place I've eaten there is Natty Greene's brewery - beer is quite good, pub grub was above average.  Worth checking out for the BEER.

All the above are great choices. We have been super busy with adding a screened in porch and a new deck and grilling area. All my grilling stuff has been packed away at the bottom of the garden, we are almost completed with building and last weekend moved the egg into position. So hopefully will be cooking soon. I have been keeping up with the posts from time to time. Thanks for the kind words and look forward to seeing you guys at BB..

Thanks everyone, especially @Wolfpack and @MaskedMarvel
We are there for my son's swim meet so I will have to see what the schedule allows (and the wife wants...). Appreciate all of the options.

Enjoy the GAC- we were there this past weekend for a meet.

Hopps (spring garden location) is very close to the GAC.
