Anyone?

Or am I dreaming and just need to buck up and go to somewhere like Cut?

SW Steakhouse.  Definitely not $100/person. ;)

More like $300-400/person.  Wish I could help, but looking forward to some food pics!

We have never been disappointed at Mon Ami Gabi (Paris). Food is good and the outdoor seating has a great view of the Bellagio fountains. Curious which show you're going to see. We'll be out there in a few weeks and are still trying to decide.

@StillH2OEgger, we are going to Cirque Du Soleil Mystere.

And thanks.  We may do Mon Ami Gabi on a different night.

Want something a little lower key and fun- go to Korean BBQ. A good one is Gangum Asian BBQ- it's near the Hard Rock.

Been crazy year for shows in Vegas- been there 3 times already this year. I have been to a ton of restaurants there but mainly for expense account meals that wouldn't fit your request. But let me know what you tend to lean towards and I am sure I can come up with some spots.

@Wolfpack, we're good with just about anything. Except my wife isn't a big fan of seafood.

Momofuku just opened in cosmopolitan.  Should meet your parameters and it's owned by a Michelin starred chef.  Get a table at opentable.com before hand.  I ate at Bobbys Burgers (Bobby flay spot) it was like 35 with a couple of cocktails last time I was there.  Depending on night of the week Brooklyn bowl has amazing fried chicken, there's lots of options really these are just the first 3 I thought of.

Are you up for traveling from the Strip? There are some great spots in China Town and Downtown that won't break the bank.

    1) thanks to all who have posted with suggestions.
    2) I love that this thread drew two new eggers out to make their first posts. Thanks @Gr_egger, I may go with Battista's. And welcome aboard @Lebowski.  We'll probably stick to the strip just for convenience and laziness.

Personally, I would skip Cut. I was very, very disappointed.  My wife actually left more than half her steak there it was so bad. I struggled with every bite of mine, but finished it because of the damn price. Very disappointing. Service was a 2 on a 1-10 scale with 10 being high.

We saw the Michael Jackson show, and even if you are not a big fan of Mike, the show was awesome.  It blew the other two Cirque shows we saw when we were there out of the water. Just my opinion....

That was never a problem when on the dealerships dime at Toyota events. In retirement a different story.

It might be a chain but we had two great meals at PF Changs on the strip. If you're into Pinot Noir, they had a 2013 Siduri single vineyard on the list at $65. It's not much less than that retail.

We actually abandoned Olives for Changs on the last night as the lighting in Olives was so bad, SWMBO had to use her iPhone light to see the menu ... and me.

Try Carbones in the Aria- it's an expensive place but order a table made Caesar salad and a plate of the spicy rigatoni. You won't need any more food and it's a great pasta dish. Sauce is really good but can be a touch spicy for some people. It will probably be $100 for the two of you- well plus drinks.

@northGAcock, we saw Carrot Top 20+ years ago. It was a great show. On this trip (our first) we are going with our 22 year old daughter so she's playing into the decision-making as well.

Fog....you folks have a great time. Hope you find some reasonable food options. Just off the strip and near the convention center is a great little family owned Italian restaurant that is one of my favorites. Give it a shot if you have the time.  http://pieroscuisine.com/about-us/

    Oh and good luck!

Anybody has to be better than Criss Angel. Wife wanted to go and I spent $400 on two seats only to leave 30 minutes into the show because it was that terrible. You could easily see how he was doing his tricks. His best trick was suckering me into dropping four bills to watch that sh!t show.

Maggiano's is prettty good Italian. Eggslut is amazing for breakfast brunch. I have a hard time recommending places on the strip, because I live here, and never go. There is a Mexican joint downtown called Casa Don Juan. Some of the best street tacos I have had are just off the Strip on Charleston. China Town is also really good, just a little ways from the action. The container park is also worth checking out. Enjoy your time

It's been a few years, but I always used to go to Vegas in January for the SHOT Show and/or home builders convention, then Heli-Expo in March.

+1 for Battista's Hole in the Wall.  Food is good (not great), but the ambiance and Mr. Batista with his accordion are great fun.

The Bellagio buffet is always awesome.  I'll usually hit "Secret Pizza" at the Cosmopolitan (2nd or 3rd floor) right at the top of the escalator......look for a long hallway with picture frame and a pinball machine (it's hidden at the end of the hall--no sign).  Also, hit a Cappriotti's for a sub (the Capistrami, the Bobby, the Italian, or the Philly--all great.)

One time, my wife and I drove down Tropicana or somewhere about a 1/2 mile west of the strip and ate at this upstairs Japanese restaurant.  No menus, just tons of pictures on the wall.  No one spoke English (or they didn't want to), so we just pointed to about a dozen different things.  Half wasn't that great, half was awesome.......and it was under $50.  Very cool experience.

Extertainment--Vinnie Favorito at the Flamingo is hilarious.  Then the new Mob Museum and long tour of the Hoover Dam are great too.  And then my personal favorite.....the Pinball Hall of Fame on Tropicana.  The auto museum at the old Imperial is always fun too.

My vote would also be the buffet at Bellagio.  It's outstanding for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

This. Spring for a Lyft or Uber. Head West on Sahara to Weera Thai.
Located in an older strip mall and doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is excellent. In the $15 per entree range. One entree is enough for the wife and me. Better than Lotus of Siam IMHO which is the Thai place that gets all the tourist press.   It's where we went for my birthday dinner to give you an idea what I think of it. Recommended to us initially by locals originally from Thailand and Indonesia.  Authentic stuff and a very diverse menu.
Also worth consideration is Nove in the Palms. Very good Italian food with an excellent view back to the strip. It is in the $35 per entree range with $10-15 glasses of wine.
IMHO the only thing Batistas has going for it is location. I cringe when friends come to town and insist on meeting there. Mediocre food at best.
