Tried out a new-to-me sauce tonight -- Kings Hawaiian Big Island Lava Spicy Sauce. Pretty good stuff! Nice and tropical (and spicy)! Was feeling like chicken wings, but a pack of those was $12. A pack of 10 chicken legs was $3. So it was a no brainer. This is definitely our favorite method for chicken legs. Takes only about 10 minutes to prep 10 legs, they cook super even and they're like ginormous fancy chicken wings.
Baking powder and dry rub:
Once they're crispy and up to temp, add the sauce:
Then put them back on and let'em get sticky.
Not bad for 3 bucks. Had sweet potato tots to go with.

have you ever tried Noh's spicy version? A Hawaiian style BBQ sauce with a little heat. Used to get it at World Market but haven't been to one in a while .
I'll keep an eye out for this. Have only seen their bread in stores, never any condiments or other stuff.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -
Thx fellas'! @caliking, no sir, never seen that one. Will keep my eyes peeled for it though! I'm a conneseur when it comes to wing sauces, so I'll hafta pick it up if I come across it.

The Noh's sauce was a bit sweet and light on heat for my taste, but pretty good.
My 2 favorite sauces are Cowtown BBQ Night Of The Living Dead and Blues Hog Smokey Mountain. Both are great on just about anything.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -
