Great discussion.  Just agreeing with what has been said.  I have a Large and a Small.  The Small uses the Woo with bolts in the nuts to raise it higher on just about every cook.  The Small gets a lot of work.  I also have the 10 inch stone and drip pan from the CGS.  In addition, I use the KAB with the original grate still in there.  The only time I remove the bolts are when I use my 5 QT D.O. for chili or bacon, etc.  I have cooked an 8 lb butt a few times on it, and had to use something to raise the temp. probe so that it would not hit the meat.

    I love the Large/Small combo.

Also, I have gone through the same decision making process on the Adjustable Rig for the Large.  It has sat in the cart, but I never purchased it.  I am sure I would love the flexibility, however, the Woo with the extender have met my needs.  I did buy the oval stone though for those rib cooks...

Southlake, TX and Cowhouse Creek - King, TX.  2 Large, 1 Small and a lot of Eggcessories.

Thanks for the explanation. Good to hear about fitting on a single butt with the Woo. I was a little worried about that

Regarding raising the dome thermo, I use a wine cork across the diameter to move the thermo out on both the the L&S BGE's.  Some use the cork length-wise.  Regardless, remove the clip so that if you do impale anything the thermo can move.  And I will run a around an 8# butt on the SBGE using the woo and stone with no clearance issues.  FWIW-

Thanks for the heads up. I usually have to do the same when doing a turkey in my large. I'm not a wine drinker so I'm pretty limited with corks available. What I did find that works is flipping the clip to the outside of the egg to reduce the stem depth. Not as nice looking as a cork but seems to do the job in the past

Shout out to the Ceramic Grill Store! The Woo and drip pans showed up at my door step this afternoon. Fantastic service. Easy to follow tracking. 100% satisfied.

@Photo Egg reminded me earlier in this thread to get the nuts with the Woo. I remembered one day after I ordered the Woo. Dang it! To my surprise I pull out the Woo and see the nuts with it! I'm not sure if the nuts come standard now or Tom maybe saw this post and added them with the recommendation from Darian. I'm jazzed! Thank you either way.

My wife has been craving a potato with sour cream for the last week or so. The potato thread posted a few days ago put it over the edge. I tossed some potatoes on the small and got to play with the Woo. Threw together a pulled pork tatter. Simple but filling.

    Very nice!
I have the WOOs with no handles. Both have their advantages.
Glad you like it. Agree, Tom and Ceramic Grill Store are great.
