Canned Bacon

Wow... had a partner at work give me this. Words can not describe. It's bacon, but it's waxy from the grease packing. Broke it out tonight to try with the father in law. Due to the recent bacon shortage figured we were technically eating high dollar food!!

I overheard a blurb about a "bacon shortage" on the news the other night, thought it was a hoax.
If the above is the cure, well, please pass the broccoli.

@YukonRon
I only ate one piece and will not be eating anymore! It's not that it was just awful, but no reason to put anymore of it in my body. Had to at least try it since it was there.
My FIL grew up in a different time, waste not want not. They grew up pretty poor family of 11 on the farm. He wasn't crazy about trying it, but his body cringed at the thought of throwing away food._______________________________________________XLBGE -
Well you survived, and that was the important issue. In doing so, you were able to provide Intel. You, and your FIL have hero status. You should get a medal.MrCookingNurse said:@YukonRon

Cambell's is now offering a cream of bacon soup here in the great white north. We have used it in casseroles and potato dishes.
